Bow Valley Gourmet is proud and excited to announce the opening of our Food Truck (July 2021) Big Dog Smokehouse and BBQ! Big Dog Smokehouse and BBQ with be offering regional Southern BBQ. We smoke our own meats with a variety of hardwoods. We have created our own rubs, make all of our sides and sauces from scratch.
This is a unique experience and another avenue for clients to enjoy a variety of foods offered by Bow Valley Gourmet. The exciting news about this Food Truck- it has a professional Chef!
Our Chef Michael Anderson will be offering Slow and Low Southern BBQ. With regional favorites from St. Louis style ribs, Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese, Smoked Turkey Tacos, Smashburgers and Maple smoked BBQ Chicken Sliders. There are also some original twists to the classic BBQ Menu. We will be sticking to the same concept that has made Bow Valley Gourmet a local favorite – We customize every Menu to fit the event. This is a Food Truck experience like no other in Canmore, Alberta.
Big Dog Smokehouse and BBQ is also available for Catering events such as Weddings, Concerts, Family re-unions, or groups that are camping. We will be able to drive to any location and offer customized Menus for your event.
We are very excited to announce that we are going to be at our Summer location on Main Street in Canmore, Alberta.
Our location is 806 Main Street – right in the heart of Canmore.
The Menu will be all of the highlights we have been working on:
Gringo Taco, Tornado Alley Smashburger, Tank’s Smokie and our summer favorite – Watermelon Salad! This summer we will also have additions to the Menu with Specials.
We are starting off with Wing Night every Wednesday! Swing by and grab #1 of our Smoked Wings, Baby Carrots and Ranch for $12.

Bow Valley Gourmet is a Private Chef/Catering company based on customer service and quality. Our Food Truck – Big Dog Smokehouse and BBQ will be offering the same great service and quality.
We do not use frozen vegetables – we buy fresh & organic whenever we can, and we make everything from scratch, including both Kansas City and North Carolina style BBQ sauces.
